Dedicated to and in memory of my dad, Willem Troskie

My dad was born in South Africa on May 18, 1930. Wonderful spouse, grandad, father and friend is dearly missed by those left behind. We love him and he will always be remembered. I'll be building this site of memories (thoughts, pictures etc) over time.

Dad and Mum Mum, Nikita and Dad, Oct 09 Us three, having fun, Sept 09.We just found out about the tumour The awful truth revealed Sept 09 Dad enjoyed listening to Mum playing the organ Dad's pride - medals received for competing in marathons Dad's brother, 'Oom Neels & tannie Hes' Dad and his eldest brother 'Oom Ben', Sept 09 when we found out about the tumour Ah!! Their 50th anniversary party. What a priviledge .. 50th Anniversary 2007. Me... their visit to london - south africa house Big Ben! Bodelwyden Castle where we dressed up! Trafalgar square Dad in his back garden Enjoying beach holidays and swimming in the sea made him happy! His Fruit & Veg garden! Feeding the neighbourhood with fresh produce :-) Swimming in the sea - spent hours in the water! Visit to HARRODS Llandudno in North Wales He wasn't impressed with that GUINNESS I cant remember the joke but it must have been good!! He was facinated by the locks Flowers! They loved the flowers! Chester Cathedral Dad enjoyed good food! July 09 - clearly visible that he got older, not as healthy All the grandchildren (except for Nikita) Eldest granddaughters 21st - all in July 09. Mum baked and Dad help with baking & decorating Brother Johan and Oupa having a good laugh! Theunis, Johan, Oupa and Ralph Mum with Alida, Anna and Ansofie Their wedding day I still have some bells off that cake! Mum and her aunt who made the dress Mum, Dad Johan, Anna, Martie and Ansofie Anna, Ansofie, Martie, Johan, Dad & Mum Nikita's birthday Oupa & Nikita All 9 grandkids! Family Fun in 2001 Dad & Mum 40th anniversary, mum turned 60 Always smiling the 2 of them We proudly show our medals! Peter & Oupa ready for the race Out in the wild - Ellisras The young Willem - with hair! :-)) 23 March 1957 Which smile is the biggest here? 7 Dec 09 Peeling Sweet potato - fresh from the garden The cake ... A happy day! The words he spoken were sincere and form the heart. Look at that big smile! Mum & Dad Kersfees het hy so geniet saam met die kinders, en altyd wou hy verkieslik niks ontvang. Een van sy hoogtepunte was die besoek aan sy skool in Groot Marico A beautiful soul❤️ Miss him everyday

Na 14 jaar mis Ek Oupa nog steeds so veel soos dag 1. My hart verlang, maar en is dankbaar dat ek geseën was met ‘n wonderlike Oupa❤️❤️ Forever in my heart❤️❤️

12 years and still not forgotten. When I talk about you it is with a smile, I had the best Oupa a child could ask for. So many memories and all of them make me smile, even those of your last few days. You never lost yours and inspired me to hold on to mine no matter what! Love always!!!
